The journal aims to promote dental research and the field of dentistry in Turkey by publishing high-quality scientific articles related to dentistry and its association with medical subjects. DDJ is an open-access, independent, impartial, and double-blind peer-reviewed journal published three times a year (April, September, and December) free of charge and on a national level.

DDJ (e-ISSN: 2822-6755) accepts scientific research in clinical, epidemiological, and experimental fields; case reports of rare or differently treated cases using alternative techniques; review articles; and letters to the editor for publication.

ETHICAL PRINCIPLES and PUBLICATION POLICY

It is a scientific necessity for all components involved in the process, from the preparation of the manuscript to its evaluation by reviewers and the decision of acceptance or rejection (Editors, Reviewers, Authors, and Readers), to behave impartially and by ethical rules. Manuscripts submitted to DDJ are evaluated through a double-blind peer review process. The Editors or reviewers may request documents related to the analysis results from the authors based on the review reports submitted to the journal. If any manipulation of data, lack of reflection of the truth, or similar situations are detected in the manuscripts, the authors and their affiliated institutions will be officially notified, and the manuscript will not be accepted.

One of the journal’s publication policies is to contribute more to science and ensure easy accessibility of published articles. Therefore, DDJ is published electronically and free of charge.

DDJ aims to adhere to the principles of the Helsinki Declaration. Authors must prove they have used these principles in all human or animal data studies. For this purpose, authors should obtain an ethical committee report from the relevant institutions and upload this report to the system during the manuscript submission process. Information regarding the ethical committee report (committee name, date, and number) should be clearly stated in the Materials and Methods section of the study. If the study involves patients, it should also be indicated that an "Informed Consent Form" has been obtained. In studies involving archive scanning due to the Protection of Personal Data Law, if requested, a permission document obtained from the institution where the study was conducted should also be uploaded to the system. If support is received from individuals or institutions for the study, the content of the support should be clearly stated in detail.
